KENNEDY SHOWS A CLEAN PAIR OF HEELS
The Riverbank Splodge lived up to its name after a week of heavy rain made the going officially soft. The 43 runners battled through mud and high water to complete the testing 5 mile course from the Lower Falls to Claggan Park.
On his favourite ground, Peter Kennedy scored maximum points again, with Ken Rumgay second. Neil Arnott ran a great second half, taking several places on the river path to finish an excellent third.
Nicola Meekin of Oban AC was first lady with Sara Byrne just pipping Lyndsey Shaw for second. Linda MacEwan put in another great race, continuing her unbeaten run as first veteran lady.
Thanks go to Robert Cant, Biff Gow, John Dougan and the girls for organising and timekeeping. Next Winter League race is Leanachan Sunday 29th January, 11am start, Nevis Range car park. Please note there is also a junior race register from 10.30am.
