This years race was well attended with an entry of 41. Good conditions on the night and dry weather prior to the race helped everyone to achieve some fast times. From the start Henry Blake and Sam Wilson dictated the pace, with a group just behind trying to get ground back on the early leaders. Henry Blake soon stamped his authority on the race and by half way had a commanding lead, which was to be unchallenged. Sam Wilson did well to stay clear in second place, followed by John Hepburn in third. The ladies race was won by Kate Jenkins, a minute and eighteen seconds clear of second place Catriona Miller. Nichola Forster is carrying on her run of good form with a strong third place finish. Well done to Emmy and Martin of Off Beat Bikes for organising another successful event, and for supplying beers and food at the finish.
