We began meeting on a Tuesday and Thursday night for a gentle jog in the winter of 1995. With about 10 ladies turning up regularly throughout the winter, by the time the clocks changed, we were venturing up Glen Nevis forestry tracks away from the people and traffic.
Suddenly those 20 minute jogs were being extended up to an hour and those excess pounds started to disappear. Saturdays and Sundays became great opportunities for longer runs, or a walk up a hill normally followed by a tea shop. It seemed like no time before some were competing in the winter league where the female competitive streak soon started to develop!
The ladies and mens squads now train together on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6pm.
